The King Street Club Book Series presents a range of educational opportunities.

The adventures can be adapted to home and classroom.
 
Each book has a activities that can be used by teachers for lesson planning or by parents in the home setting.

Christine Steiner

 

Educator on the King Street series, Chris enjoys collaborating in the refreshing world of children’s books.  During her twenty-plus year tenure as Curator of Education at the Albuquerque Museum, she developed educational strategies and interpretative approaches for museum visitors of all ages.  She honed her skills in curriculum design when teaching at the University of New Mexico and gained a national perspective when an Arts Administration Fellow at the NEA. 

 

Her publications include museum teacher guides for the schools, exhibition-related interpretive materials, and contributions to academic journals.  She holds a Ph.D. from Florida State University in Art Education and Arts Administration. She is now the owner and principal of Good Fun Books, a publishing imprint working through Ingram Spark and Lightning Source.

Among other ventures, Chris has commercial fished the Mississippi, shrimped the Gulf, apple-picked with migrant farm workers, and now enjoys hiking in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico.
